The Chase comes down to Homestead in Nascar

November 20, 2009 by Ronnie Grozinski aka RONDAWG | Posted under: NASCAR | Comments (0)

Well well well...  Looks like Jimmie Johnson just about has this wrapped up for the 4th time.  Mark Martin who has been the sentimental favorite since leaving Roush Racing after many years to join the Hendricks Family this season.  The Kid as he has been called has had an amazing run this year.  He is currently 2nd in the points and still in the hunt.  If for some forsaken reason Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus run into a bad break like they did in Texas, then people move over cause the Old Man will finally put the 1 trophy that has eluted him through his 27 years racing in Nascar.  At 50 years old and running lap after lap with these younger kids is amazing in its self.  I am pulling for the Kid and pray that Jimmie doesnt get his 4th Championship in a row...  If it happens, then I am sure there will be talk about a Dynasty.  Comparing them to other sports teams who have had dyansties.  Compare Nascar with the Bulls of old with Jordan..??  I dont think so...  But still, no matter if they are strapped into a car with 700+ horses under the hood.  How many of us could do it and with stand the beating you take for 26 races a year...    I'll stick to going to the races and sitting in the stands and smelling that high octane fuel burn...
